MRCS Part B Examinations Volunteering
From 19 to 21 August 2024, the MRCS Part B examinations were held in the Advanced Surgical Skills Centre (ASSC), Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz. To aid in the smooth running of the examinations, MSSS was invited to send Executive Committee members as volunteers. Throughout the 3 days, a total of 7 MSSS Executive members were involved in this activity.
The volunteers had the task of ensuring that the exam takers are assigned to the correct stations and the flow of the stations were smooth. It was an incredible opportunity to get a close glimpse of how the exams are conducted and learn what are the components that are usually tested for MRCS Part B examinations. Furthermore, seeing both the nervousness and excitement by the upcoming surgeons who took the examinations gave a short glimpse into the future for our volunteers who are planning to take MRCS examinations in the future.
Furthermore, on the evening of the second day of the examinations, a networking dinner was held at Minmax Restaurant which provided the opportunity for our volunteers to interact and establish professional contact with esteemed surgeons from Malaysia and around the world.
